Almost all are human barbarians. It appears as if about 20% of the inhabitants are relatively new. Meaning since the problems started several years ago. Stones large enough to make a difference to a giant assault are hard to get down here. But the wall serves another purpose. It breaks the polar wind that assails the town in winter."
