A Shot in the Dark
Reply Quote
From the two opposite alleys emerge Michael Stormmoon, a shortsword and long knife in hand, and a tall metalic skinned figure wearing a dark cloak and an ornate but dark mask; he too is carrying a sword. Michael speaks: "**** that gree, I was all but on top of the hammer wielder when he saw me. We saw the gree on the rooftop after he fired his first shot. This is Aleskar Silverscale, my friend, a paladin of Stasis and soldier." The Sakor'akai nods to you but does not speak and keeps a lookout.

As Michael speaks you can hear the city coming to life around you and the calls for constables ringing out. You think you can hear hoof beats on the cobblestone streets approaching.

Michael says "we have little time, please do not mention our involvement to the authorities but if they do not believe you I will come forward as a witness." with that he turns to leave.

"We can trust them for now....i'll explain later in more hospitable surroundings." Parker puts his pistol back in it's holster at the small of his back. "Now we better see to our friends. It sounds like the constables will be here soon." Parker goes to Kovar to make sure that he is alright.

Kovar is fine. "So much for doing things the quiet way. What little patience I had is gone. What next?"

"Now that I have had a good look at one of the dwarves, I can magically find him in the city. We can only hope that he will not be as well concealed as Koddan." cough "We can now also look for the Gree in mundane way. He should not be hard to find as there are few of his kind in the city."

"Good. Lets deal with the constables, regroup and try and get that done. Parker, are the constables going to be trouble for us? Those dwarves proved we should stop asking questions and start getting some answers, whatever means necessary. I'll need some rest and time for prayer and then we should get started. (OOC I'm assuming I exhausted my spells in combat with healing myself and others. Is that correct.)

"Seeing as how most of us are covered in our own blood, proving that we were attacked will be pretty easy. Also, these shafts from the Gree's crossbow will hopefully help the constables in some way. I think we should see how long it takes with the constables before going after the dwarves. We don't want to get on the wrong side of the law right now. So we tell them the truth, we were walking back from the Knight's Rest and were ambushed by some dwarves and the Gree. Since the Gree is a known Bounty Hunter they shuldn't, hopefully, ask too many questions. "

"If we can disentangle ourselves from the Constables quickly enough, then I say yes. If you can track them Asinjin, then I say we go after them. I'm tired of playing a 'cat-and-mouse' game where i'm the mouse. If you can't find the Dwarf or the Gree with your spells, then I may have a contact that can get us to the Gree, or at least point us in the right direction."

I believe Kovar used only one 1st and one 2nd level spell in last week's encounter.
