I ask Rubius and Ari, "Do you want me to teleport in and start a fight? Or do you want to extract yourselves some other way? Do either of you have a way of getting round the wall?" 09-13-2006, 8:18 AM Malchia Joined on 06-09-2005 Posts 434 Re: Wish Away first of all, the guard said teleporting in and out of the main chamber was allowed, we just couldn't teleport into the storage rooms. the problem is, when we looked around, we didn't see a door or any way out. it may now be magically sealed. i would like you to teleport to the building perhaps, but i wouldn't try to come in. besides, i'm sure ari would agree, we don't want any more potential casualties from this encounter. one party wide annihilation is enough for this humble halfling. it would probably be best for ari and i to try and escape on our own. i'll try to speak with him about the current state of affairs to see if he'll be reasonable. if not, he gave us the option to leave before it gets ugly, so i might just take him up on the offer. now, about getting around the wall...that would be a resounding no. unless you or ari find a way to dismiss the genie, i think we're in trouble. if i die, please promise me asinjin that you'll save emelda and the others from the torment they're enduring.    Report

I need to find out if Dispel Magic can destroy the Wall of Force; and also what spells the Hobgoblin's spell protects him from. I tell Rubius and Ari that if they can get out of there without my help to let me know. I think I can take care of the hobgoblin another way if they get out. We can always try working the "you sent the gnome to the Guardian Temple and he will return momentarily with Guardians capable of extracting the information we need from you" angle.    Report

Just make the desicion in the next five game minutes so my personal spells don't wear out. DM, when I saw the Wall of Force, did it go from celing to floor, wall to wall? Rubius, did your invisibility stop working, or does it work but he simply knows you're there? What is the hobgoblin wearing? Can Ari or Rubius detect magic?
